@•significant annoyance• he is isn’t he? I’ve trained him to jump and grab food from my fingers. he sometimes bites my finger but it actually doesn’t hurt at all (sometimes it startles me). He also lets me kiss the outside of his tank in the spot where he is when I go to bed. I’ve had him for close to two years now!

@AquaJackson🌊🔱 yes - you need one gallon of tank space per inch of fish. Also don’t keep two males or a male and female together unless they’re mating. Only feed them a food amount the size of their eyeball because that’s how big their stomach is and a lot of food expands in the water. I’d recommend a 3 gallon tank or at least 2.5 gallons. Females can be kept together. Ignore the directions on the food package b/c they’re not accurate.

@AquaJackson🌊🔱 also I’d recommend a filter. My tank came with one. Please don’t attempt to touch your fish because it can damage their delicate fins and skin. And, most importantly if you don’t have dechlorinated water you HAVE to have a water conditioner. All water conditioners come with directions on how to use them. And if your house is cold, Try for a water heater because they like their water about 78 to 81 degrees Fahrenheit. They come from a tropical area and need warmth. Thermometer too

@AquaJackson🌊🔱 he used to. Unfortunately corydoras catfish kinda need at least three of their own kind with them in order to thrive. My betta would chase the poor thing around the tank. He died after three months. I don’t recommend a tank mate tbh unless you get the betta and the tank mate at the same time and put the tank mate in first. Also be careful with multiple female bettas together. Just because they’re able to be together doesn’t mean they should be.

They’re funny when they sleep once he had body torqued (bent) over the top of his heater and just kinda stared at me like “watt up? Yep I’m comfy like dis don’t mind me momma”
