On Recolor Showcase it says “Valentine’s is great but the greatest thing is loving yourself”
And I can’t help but feel that those words are really shallow.
I mean, yes, love what you have and love all the talents you have, but since when is loving yourself MORE important than loving someone else? I always thought loving someone else was a thousand times more amazing than loving my self, and it’s an amazing gift too!
YOU are aloud to love someone more than yourself, that’s amazing!

3 years agoI just feel like it’s a bit much to say “the greatest thing is loving yourself” I know it’s to encourage people who don’t feel like their enough,
But if everyone was loving everyone else, then, someone would be loving you and you would be loving them. Then you wouldn’t have to love yourself.

3 years agoI know not everyone is religious but in the Bible it talks about If someone had everything They ever wanted and were very powerful BUT didn’t have love than they were nothing. and I don’t think it’s talking about loving yourself. Right after that it says this

Yes, love yourself but don’t love yourself before others.
Because if everyone loved themselves than no one would be loving you :(

I’m not Christian but I believe in all that u said love it each other is what will make peace and because of the self love these days everyone is forgetting to love one another and they’re forgetting to make this world a better place. My religion tells me that if you don’t love what your brother and if u don’t treat them fairly and u never make them upset and all in all u never hurt them and remind them that they’re important and more than

3 years agoTanya, your gallery is amazing. I love it. I am an old woman, 67 yrs young and when I was 19, I was a very confused young lady. I was fat (230lbs worth) and I didn't like myself at all. So I went to see a psychologist not a psychiatrist, big difference there. Psychiatrist uses drugs. I didn't need that. I had enough trouble with that. Anyway. With Jerry, I learned that before you can love someone else truly, you have to love yourself first. God is talking about that greedy, selfish, love.
