This is the Lighthouse of Alexandria in Egypt, at one time it was one of The Seven Wonders of The Ancient World, for many centuries it was also one of the tallest man made structures in the world. But ultimately in the end it was severely damaged by three earthquakes and became an abandoned ruin. The last of its remnant stones were used to build the Citadel of Qaitbay on the exact same site, which still exists today in our modern world.
