β¨ Hey guys itβs Samantha! β¨
In case you didnβt know, Iβm currently doing a rainbow color series on my main account!! So far red and orange are out. Iβm planning to post a few βouttakesβ if you will, on this account.

This is a template I was considering for Red but ended up not choosing. I still wanted to color it though so I decided to try something. I shaded this with only the solid brush instead of the air brush like usual (I donβt know what theyβre actually called. Hope that makes sense.).

Youβll probably see more of this on here as I try to make this work better. I do like it, but I think the classic shading is a lot prettier. And easier!
What do you think?? Do you like this shading or my regular better? I wonβt be offended! π

It makes perfect sense. And I love it! My shading looks a lot like this before I switch to the airbrush and soften things. Yours is deliberate though, so it adds to the artistry. Nice work!

This template looks great but I understand going with the other one! The shading probably would have looked better when it was done, but I still think it looks awesome!
I like both kinds of shading, personally. I think it is super cool to see the distinct different shades of the colors. I think it helps me visualize your thought process behind the piece. It also helps me see that I could attempt shading like this
As far as a teaching tool for shading, I prefer the solid lines. Itβs just easier to see what types of colors are picked and the placement.
The solid lines on this look really good though!!
Having so many shades similar to each other gave me vibes for the βRetro Posterβ effect. π
