Lol yep sounds like you! You’re welcome! Oh haha the new trimester- that’s a story and a half right there 🤪 So last Saturday, my mom started feeling sick. She took a covid test and turned up negative, so when I ~ and my twin ~ started feeling sick on Monday, we didn’t think much of it. We all thought we’d gotten colds. Tuesday (the first day of the new trimester) I woke up feeling slightly worse, with a bad cough, but I get bad coughs literally EVERY TIME I get sick, so I still went to school-

-My twin sister is only at school in the morning bc she struggles a bit with school and it’s easier for her to take math and science at home, where my mom can help her. I always walk her out at lunch to my mom’s car, along with my best friend. It was cold and snowing and I hadn’t put my jacket on, so I was trying to hurrry and go back inside. My mom stopped me and kept saying “Clara, I have to talk to you.” It sounded really serious; my first thought was that my grandpa had died. Instead-

-she told me my grandma had tested positive for covid (which is scary in and of itself, bc her husband has no immune system and has been hospitalized with colds before) so my mom had retested herself, and she too, had turned up positive. So I went home bc I didn’t want to risk exposing anyone else, and I’m also covid positive. Two of my morning classes were a continuation of classes I’d had first tri, so I only got attend one of my new classes. Luckily, my two after lunch classes, the ones I-

-missed, were with teachers I’d had before. So I’m missing the rest of the week; the earliest I can go back is Monday. Today, however, school was canceled bc there was snow on the ground at like 7am, but it was all melted by 8am, which is one less day of makeup work I’ll have to do.

@*.• strawberry girl •.* OH, WOW! I’ve had a bad cold for about a week myself ~ tested negative. Now I’m thinking I should have tested again a couple days later! 😬 I’m glad your grandpa is okay, too! My mother-in-law doesn’t have a spleen so her immunity is super low, so I get it. Anyway, I can’t believe they cancelled school bc of snow on the ground that literally melted within a hour!!! We haven’t had any snow yet this season but it’s still kinda early. We usually get hit anywhere from

Yeah, honestly I had no idea that I had covid~ it really does feel like a bad cold. I know quite a few people who been hit pretty hard by covid, so I’m thankful it hasn’t been so bad for me so far, but then again, it is only day 3. Yeah so my grandpa has a genetic disease, X-AMN, which causes leg weakness/stiffness and instability, so he can no longer walk, Addison’s disease, kidney disease, loss of smell (which of course led to loss of taste) and numbness in the legs/lower back. It’s been-

-hard to watch him deteriorate over the years, but it is nice that the disease didn’t get passed down to any of my siblings, so I won’t ever have to watch anyone I love go through that again Yeah I was shocked! There was only about half an inch of snow of start with!! The thing is, though, my school has one of the largest bussing routes in terms of miles covered in the state bc we’re in an agricultural area so there are quite a few rural students. I’m guessing there was ice and snow on some-

-of the hillier routes, so they decide to cancel school even though it was unnecessary. Honestly it’s early for snow here too! We usually get most of it around the end of December through the beginning of February, but then again, we had snow in April this year, so nothing would surprise me at the this point. Same I like snow but not a lot of it, and the road I live isn’t a high priority for the snowplows, and on the rare occurrence they do plow it, the piled up snow blocks out driveway 😭
