Y'all, I love my husband, over 35 years together, but dang, 1 to 2 hours of sleep because of his snoring, makes for a cranky wife! Is it wrong that I've planned his demise over the years! ๐ค

So sorry sweetie! Has he seen a sleep specialist about obstructive sleep apnea? It might help you both.

oh we've had this discussion numerous times, he refuses to go. I've even told him that African American men are at a higher degree of heart disease and risk due to sleep apena and he won't do anything about it. I wake him up numerous times a night due to his lack of breathing. All joking aside, it scares me.
Does he have sleep apnea?? I do. I used to snore and wake up all through the night. Once I started wearing my "Darth Vader " mask ... it all ended. I sleep all night, reach REM sleep and feel great. I have used it religiously for 10 years now. I never not wear it. The main reason I started was because a sleep study showed my O2 levels were dropping to 83% ... mild obstructive apnea. It changed my life!

I just saw your other comments. That is too bad. He really would feel so much better. My boss though is like that. He went and his numbers were so bad ... he used a mask for a month, said he slept so much better, but decided he didn't like it.
Maybe your husband should understand that every time he has an episode, his body is literally dying. The Fight/Flight takes effect and his respiratory system and adrenal glands release large levels of chemicals. It is very taxing to the system and

damaging. Ask him if it would be OK to suffocate him throughout the day? That is literally what he is doing at night.
Good Luck ... maybe it's time to go to the guest room?!?

Honestly it hasn't been that bad in a while, I think I'm also anticipating our drive to Tacoma, leaving tomorrow and everything I had to do today, so I probably was sleeping lightly. But he won't do a sleep study has refused for years. I keep trying
